Cold Blood

Snowblind through deception
Left alone in despair
Basked by amaurotic flashes
But no sun to see
Just white darkness everywhere

Accumulate and infest
With its noxious blank
Collapsing the lone shelter
That protected my head
Piercingly toured my rank

How appropriate art thou
To smother all life?
Slithering the trunks
With unsealed locks
To where we find the secrets
Behind the strife

The wintriness
The absolute nothing
An eternal decent
I fall through the cracks
My foundation crumbles
Grasping my limbs with relent

The sieve at the floor
Awaits in the bloody pool
Consumes all optimism
Trapped beneath ice
A slave to the needle
With no salvation from the spool

Extinguishing the kindle
That once engulfed my heart
Now the surface freezes over
Silencing my pleas
And we’re so far apart

The flurry of fury
Locked me in a cell
The flurry of fury
Cut off the arteries
To my spirit
And silenced my yells

The distress from my ducts
Froze under my eyes
Never became tears
But falling,
Hammering the ground impetuously
As sharp stoned lies

A whirlwind of confusion
Was too much for cat and dog
The chain abated abstractly
No longer willing as a pretender
To reach through the fog

How splendid to dream
Of easy summertime walks to St. Cathedral
With frayed ends behind us
Oh It aint necessarily so
And a unifying slumber
Pure of lineal obstruction
But reality subverts hello

Alas, the frost bites my lips
With every last word
Its cold kidnapped my ardor
From scarlet’s sedative sword
No longer could it sustain my blessings
So the tube was removed
Its soul can finally rest
From the malignant mutant
That consumed us two
